Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! This Easter weekend was packed full of fun! On Saturday we spent the day with the Spencer's. We started off by celebrating Taylor's birthday! She just turned 9! Zoey was SO excited to give Taylor her present. She had to hold it the whole way there. We gave her a Scentsy, that's what she told me she wanted! After that we had an Easter egg hunt. It was fun, and the kids got a ton of candy. Then we went to the park to fly kites, and just play!

That night we colored Easter eggs at home. Zoey loved it! Her favorite color was the pink. We tried to put tatoos on them, but that didn't work so well. Ben took out a Sharpie, and that worked much better!

Easter Sunday was great. We woke up, and had a little hunt for Zoey in the house. She was a little disappointed that the Easter Bunny didn't wake her up. She got over it fast though! That night we went to Grandma and Grandpa Lewis's house. Zoey is the only kid, so she totally scored! She loved it, and I think everyone loved just watching her! She was nice though, and shared an egg with everyone!

Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Tanya

(Shellie, Tanya, & Jenn....Las Vegas 2000)

Sometimes it takes something tragic in your life to happen to bring life into perspective. Just when you think your life is so bad, and that it couldn't be any worse...you hear of someone else's life who is a lot worse than yours. My dear friend Tanya Prince passed away yesterday due to Wegener's Granulomatosis (WG). It is an uncommon disease that affects about 1 in 20000 people. I feel so bad for her little family. She has a husband, a 7 year old son, and a 3 year old daughter.

I have great memories of Tanya from highschool. My favorite one was the time that we told everyone we were sisters! That little fib went on for along time! People would ask why we have different last names...easy we had different dads. Duh, it really made no sense, but people still believed us! I'll miss you Tanya!

Ben's First Country Concert!

Well, despite our kind of crazy weekend we decided to still go to Lone Star down in Wendover. My Mom got Ben and I tickets, along with a suite. I really like Lone Star, and I was hoping when I asked Ben to go with me, that he would! It took a little convincing, but he finally said that he would go! He does not like country at all, so this was big for him! I was so glad that he came with me...it really meant a lot knowing how much he dislikes it! The concert was great, and I think Ben even might have enjoyed himself! Way to go Ben...your first country concert!

Princesses On Ice!

On Saturday night Zoey got to go see Princesses On Ice! Kim bought her tickets for her birthday, and also told her she would take her to dinner and that she'd get to have a sleepover! I let Zoey pick out which outfit she wanted to wear. She of course chose Cinderella. She looked so stinkin' cute! After I got finished with her hair she told me she needed a head band, so we found one that would work! Then of course every princess needs a little make-up. Zoey thought it was great that I actually let her put a little make-up on! What a fun night for her! Kim said her favorite princesses to see were Ariel and Cinderella. Zoey is still talking about it, and that she wants to go see them again. She loves to play with her Ariel wand she got, and is pretending to swim with the Flounder hat! Thanks Kim for taking her. She loves to be with her Kimmy!

Happy Birthday Ben!

LOVE YOU!

Happy Birthday Ben! Today is Ben's birthday...he is turning 31! Zoey and I decided to go out to his work in Daybreak, and take him lunch. It is very nice outside today, so we were able to have a picnic. Zoey was so excited to actually lay a blanket out, and eat outside. I can't tell you how great it was to be outside...spring is so close! We had fun walking along the lake they have there, and looking at the ducks! Zoey loved every minute of it, and Ben did too! I think he liked having 2 cute lunch dates!

On Sunday night I made dinner at our house for my side of the family to celebrate Ben's birthday! Dinner turned out great, and we had a good time. My Mom made one of Ben's favorite desserts...cheescake! In my family, instead of Birthday cake we get to pick one of our favorite desserts, so Ben didn't really choose...but I knew that's what he would want so I put in the order! Zoey was so excited to have everyone come over. I told her on Saturday that we were going to have a party for Dad, and she kept asking me when all her "friends" were going to come. She was so excited to help Ben open his presents and cards! Oh, and lets not forget how excited she got when we sang Happy Birthday! (That's why she is so excited in the bottom picture!) Thanks for coming out to celebrate everybody!

Dumb Drivers!

Ok, so I just had to fill everyone in on what you are supposed to do at a 4-way stop! I KNOW all my friends and family are smart enough to not be a "dumb driver", but just in case! When at a 4-way stop each direction takes a turn, and ONE car goes through at a time...right?! At least that's the way it's supposed to work. I was just on my way home, and on Bangerter and 7800 South the light was out. That is a pretty busy intersection, so it was pretty crowded. Well, it took 10 times longer than it should have because 5 or so cars would try to go through at times. Those are the times that there were almost wrecks, cars honking and slamming on breaks! Duh, don't people realize if you just do it right and have a little patience it will go a lot faster?! Am I the only one that gets irritated at this? Seriously...stay off the road if you don't know how to drive! Oh, and HAVE A NICE DAY!! :-)

The Cheesecake Factory!

On Friday night we had a girls night out! We had plans to go to dinner and a movie. I was very excited for this girls night because we were going to go to one of my all time favorite places to eat...The Cheesecake Factory! Everytime I go to Las Vegas that is the place I have to eat. I was so excited when I heard they were opening one here, but haven't been because of the insane crowds that are there! Well, unfortunately we still had to deal with a crowd. We only had to wait for about 4 hours! (Yes, I'm serious...we actually waited that long!) Shellie's husband went and put our name on the list at around 5:30, and we were finally sat around 9:40. However, once we were sat it was worth the wait! Dinner was just as good as I thought it would be, and Sherice and I finally got to eat those avocado eggrolls we have been dying for! Yum! Needless to say we never made it to the movie because of how long dinner took! Oh well, it was still a way fun night and it was good to see everyone!
Girls Night Out!
(Mindy, Me, Sherice, Tiffany, Shellie, and Amber)

Notice those big smiles...we couldn't wait for Avocado Eggrolls!

Shellie and I...still waiting!

So excited to finally eat at the Cheesecake Factory!

Yes, at 9:40 we were finally seated!

Everyone is so happy to be seated!
