Zoey's Dance Recital!

Last Tuesday Zoey had her dance recital! She loved getting all dolled up with make-up on and everything! It was so adorable, and I'm so proud of her for getting up there and doing her best. Funny story...Monday they had dress rehersal. Well, Zoey was all over the stage...running around, staring at all the cool stuff, and just messing around not watching Miss Tara! So that night I told her that she really needed to watch her teacher and not run around. I told her they put stars on the floor so they would know where to stand, and that she needed to stay on her star. Ok, I didn't mean that she couldn't move off the star at all...I was just trying to get her to not run around. Well the girl did not move off her star. She kept looking down and making sure she was right on that star! It was so funny, and I coudln't help but to laugh because it was totally my fault! So she tried her best to stand in one place and do all her dance moves. Since when does she listen that well?! All in all she did a great job, and I'm so proud of her! I was so nervous for her, but she had no fear and did a wonderful job! I love my little dancing queen!

Thank You for all the family that came and watched her! She loved having you there, and Ben and I appreciated it too!

Standing right on her *STAR*!

Zoey is on the far right.

She loved watching all the other little dancers perform! She sat on the 2nd row, and loved dancing along with them!

Volleyball Tournament!

This last Saturday Sherice and I participated in an outdoor volleyball tournament at Liberty Park! Although we lost, we had so much fun playing together! I don't think either one of us realized how different outdoor volleyball is than indoor. We struggled getting use to playing in the hot sun, seeing the ball because of the sun, and playing only with 2 people on a team. We are both use to playing indoor with 6 players! We gave it all we had, just ask Sherice...she has the bruises to prove it! It was fun to give it a try, and I think we would both like to do it again sometime. We just need to practice playing outside!! Thanks to our families for coming and watching us play! We appreciated it!!

Sherice and I at the end of a long day of playing!

In a bunch of pictures Steve took...Sherice and I are doing the exact same thing...kind of funny!

Getting ready to pass the ball!

Sherice had a couple of nice blocks!

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! Well, of course we are all going to claim that we have the best husbands and best Daddies out there, but I truly do! Just ask Zoey and I! Ben is so special, and I know they don't make many like him. I have truly lucked out to have a husband that I am totally crazy about, and continue to love more and more everyday. I take much pride in saying that Ben and I have never had a fight! He has never raised his voice to me, or to Zoey in anger. It's very rare that we ever even disagree on something. I can't imagine ever fighting with him...we are truly best friends. (You may think I sound like I'm bragging...well, that's because I am...it's ok every now and then, right!) He should teach classes on how to be a wonderful husband and father because he's got it down packed! I know he loves me and Zoey so much, and would do anything for us!

Not only do I totally adore Ben, but so does his little Iddo Skiddo! Zoey loves her Daddy so much! Zoey knows she can get her Daddy to do most anything she wants! He's just as crazy over her as she is for him! I knew Ben would be a great Dad, but he has far surpassed any of my expectations. One of my favorite things to see is Ben putting Zoey to bed at night. He puts her to bed everynight and reads her bedtime story to her. I love it when I can hear him sing her a little song, or say her bedtime prayers with her. It makes my heart melt! I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful Husband and Father to Zoey. Ben, thanks for all you do for us. We love you!

This is a picture of Ben with his Father's Day present! Yes, I know kind of boring...but that's what he wanted. We got him 6 trees for the backyard!

Happy Father's Day to the other special Dad's in our life!

This is Ben's Dad aka Grandpa Spencer! We were glad that we were able to spend the night with him for Father's Day! We are so greatful for him, and everything he does for our family. The grandkids absolutely adore Grandpa. You will never see him at a family dinner without all the kids gathered around him. At the dinner table...they all want to sit by Grandpa! He's very loved by all the kids. Ralph is also a great Dad. I know Ben is so great at being a Dad and Husband because of the example his Dad has been to him. I'm greatful for him for raising Ben to love the gospel, and honor his priesthood. Also, for teaching him by example how to love and respect his family. Ben treats me like a princess, and I know he learned that from his Dad because he treats his Mom that way! I've never seen Martha do the dishes at Sunday dinner...Ralph and Ben are always their at the sink doing them...what great guys! I hope you have a Happy Father's Day, and that you know how much we love and appreciate you!

This is my Dad! Unfortuanately, he lives in Kansas City so we don't get to see him very often. We do look forward to the times that he gets to make it out here to visit us though! This is a picture of all us kids with our Dad last time he was here. We love to go to Tepanyaki when he comes out! I hope he has a great Father's Day, and knows how much we love and miss him! We can't wait until September to see him!

This is my cute Grandpa Lewis! I love him so much, and am so greatful to have a Grandpa that I am so close to. I can't imagine our family without him. I have so many fun memories with Grandpa! One of my favorite things that comes to mind that he does is Fiddler on the Roof...If I were a Rich Man. I love it when he busts out singing and doing his little dance to that! Grandpa is also such a great little farmer! For years he took care of the orchard, and grew the best produce ever! Now that we don't have the orchard anymore, Ben and I have tried to grow our own produce, and it just isn't the same! We love you Grandpa and hope you have a Great Father's Day! Thanks for all you do for our family!

FiRe...ToO cLoSe FoR CoMfOrT!

Last night was quite a crazy night. We were gone to Ben's softball game for most of the night. Well, on our way home Ben calls me (I was in a different car!), and says it looks like their is a fire close to our house. I said, "I hope it's not ours!" He said it didn't look that close to ours, but probably at least in our ward. Well, he got home and called me again and said "Our neighbors house is totally on fire and has a big hole in the top of it." So this is what we came home too. There were tons of fire trucks, news crews, and people all around. I feel so bad for this family that lives here. They have only lived here for just over a year. I guess the Dad had bbq'd dinner, and then thought he turned it off...pushed it back under the deck against the house...went inside and started to eat dinner. Then in an instant the house was up in flames. They say it is pretty much a total loss since it got up into the attic. They were very concerned about their animals. I know the little girl lost her farrot...she was absolutely devistated. Then they couldn't find one of their dogs. Well, as the firemen were cleaning out the house one of them came walking out with the dog in his arms. Now I'm not an animal person, and don't quite understand the attatchment to a dog....but I got tears in my eyes when I saw him with the dog. It was under the bed of the master bedroom (which is the top room right off the deck that was on fire), and he was fine...scared, but fine. I have never seen anything like this...it was quite scary how close it was. I'm glad that the family is ok, and it was awesome to see how our neighborhood got together to help this family with whatever we could. I love my neighborhood and am glad nothing happened to any other homes, or to any people. What a night!
The view from our back door.

The firemen!

This fire truck was parked infront of our house with a HUGE light on it so they could see the back of the house. Zoey thought it was pretty cool!

BIG TIME SAVER!

Hey all! So on Friday at work, my friend Rick told me about this awesome website that I'm loving! It is googlereader.com . This is a BIG time saver for all of you who are obbsessed with blogging like I am. I love to read all of your blogs, and stay updated on what's going on in your life...but it does take a lot of time to look at everyone's! So this website you are able to type in all your blogs you stalk, and then it will tell you when they update it. So instead of going into each individual blog to check for updates...you can just go to googlereader, and it will tell you who has updated! So great!
