What a Morning!

What a morning I had today! Now I should start off counting my blessings that I've never had car trouble, that being a flat tire or anything! Today I got my taste of what it's like to have a car breakdown! Well, not a car...Ben's huge massive truck! I was driving to work...getting of the freeway at 5th south, and getting ready to turn left onto 400 west when all the sudden I can't turn the truck! I looked down and all the lights were off in the truck. Well, here I'm trying to turn this huge truck with no power steering. Good thing I'm tough, and was able to (ha! had to give myself props!)! So I got the truck at least turned, and it just died right in the middle of the road. I didn't have time to pull off to the side or anything. I had no idea what to do! I turned on my hazzards, and watched as SO MANY MEN drove past me honking and waving hands at me because they are mad I'm blocking the road. As if I chose to just stop my truck right there in the middle of the road. I was so upset that not 1 person stopped to help me. Nobody got out and asked if I was ok, if I needed a phone, or anything! I was shocked at people's lack of compassion to help out a stranded girl! Plus, I was right by the homeless shelters, in the rain, and not a clue as to what to do! My point of writing this is in hopes that a "man" will read this and think the next time they see someone (most importantly a woman!) broken down they will at least stop to offer some help instead of honking horns, and making me cry! (Yes, I didn't know what else to do, so what better than to just cry...it helped me feel better!)
Oh, and to finish off the story...I called my work and Dawn found a guy (thanks Mark) to come and help me! In the meantime...the truck somehow managed to start (after me trying a bazillion times already) and I was able to drive the rest of the way to work. I'm now waiting at work so Ben can come pick me up, and he can drive it home!!!
Got to love car trouble!

Happy Birthday Kim & Sarah!

On Saturday morning we were able to celebrate my sister Kim, and sister-in-law Sarah's birthday's! We went to this little diner in North Salt Lake (Ramblin Roads...so good...go try it sometime!)! Most all the family was able to be there, and we had a great time. Sarah's birthday was last week, and Kim's is this week. I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful family! I love Sarah, and am glad that she is a part of our family. She makes my brother Dean so happy, and I love her for that. Kim is not only my sister, but my very best friend! I love her so much, and I'm so glad that she is MY sister. I hope you both have a great year full of fun and happiness!

The cutest grandparents in the world!

Ben couldn't make it because of the BYU game. Zoey loves to show her BYU pride!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Can't believe it has come and past already! We had such a great day. It was just packed full of fun! We started off the morning going to Zoey's preschool parade. I had no idea it was as big of a deal as it was! I thought it was just some little thing they would do in their classroom, but to my surprise it was quite the little production! They introduced each kid, and had them do a little part according to their costume. It was so cute! Then they sang a couple of numbers. Zoey just loves going to school, and I'm so glad they are so cute with them!!
The rest of the day we went and made some visits. On Halloween my Grandma Lewis always make Chili, and has some other yummy treats! I love going to Bountiful on Halloween. They get such a kick out of seeing Zoey, so it's always fun!
After that we headed home. Zoey LOVED handing out the candy to all the kids. I thought she might not like it because she wanted to keep all the candy, and thought it was hers! But she did great, and thought it was so fun to see all the kids in costume. I then took her around to a few houses. I couldn't believe how nice the weather was! It seems the last few years have been SO cold, so it was a nice change!
Overall we had a great Halloween!!

Zoey singing at her preschool parade! She was so excited!

The cutest little Elephant ever!

Me & my girl! It was so fun to see her up their performing. A very proud moment!

Grandma, Kimmy, & Steve all came to watch her! Thanks so much...I know Zoey loved having you there!

Zoey visiting with Grandpa Lewis. She sure loves him!

Can't forget Bella...she had a cute little bow, but you can't see it. Plus, it was driving her crazy, so we ended up taking it off!

These are my cute little (well not so little) cousins. They just adore Zoey, and love to be around her! She loves them too!

Grandpa Spencer was able to come to our house to see Zoey that night, and brought her a treat!

We sure love our little girl! She has made holidays so much more fun!!!!

THRILLER!

On Monday night I was able to go see Thriller! I have never been before, and have got to say I loved it! I'm not usually into that kind of stuff, but I really enjoyed it! My friend Jennie was able to get some tickets to it, so there were 8 of us that went together! It was such a fun night, and I'm so glad I was able to go! Thanks Jennie!
Such a fun group of girls to go with!

I was laughing so hard at this girl! She didn't want to leave them alone!

Hillary & the Zombie!

I wasn't really prepared for their to be Zombies roaming around outside! I didn't know they did that! I thought they were awesome, and looked great! Angi on the otherhand was terrified of them!
